Note: CPHL and CHSAA are two distinct seasons with different associated fees. CHSAA winter season operates with Mountain Vista High School. Please visit the MVHS Ice Hockey Co-op Team for details.

The Vista Hockey Club Supports the CPHL Fall Hockey Season

August to Mid November

The purpose of the CPHL is to provide Colorado high schools with an early start to their hockey season, offering teams the opportunity to start practice and play games as early as September, bypassing the traditional wait until November. The league comprises two tiers:

- Varsity Tier 1 team (equivalent to high school varsity)

- Varsity Tier 2 team (equivalent to high school junior varsity)

Games

Approximately 12 CPHL leagues games, CPHL playoffs, 1 out of state tournament and 1 in-state tournament.

Players can participate in both club/rec hockey, but Vista needs to be the priority in case of conflicts.

Please discuss any potential conflicts with Head Coach Matt Anthone (manthone1090@gmail.com) prior to tryouts. Any conflicts should also be indicated in the comment section of your registration.

Join us for our Parent Meeting as we kick off the CPHL season for Vista Hockey Club. At least one parent/guardian will need to attend.

This meeting is a great opportunity to meet our coaches, gain insights into what the season will entail, and understand the expectations for both players and parents. You'll also have the chance to meet the board members and ask any questions you may have. Your attendance is crucial as we outline important information and ensure a successful season for everyone involved. Don't miss this important event!

Vista Hockey Club supports students from Mountain Vista HS, Thunderridge HS, Highlands Ranch HS, and students that reside in the feeder area that attend online or charter schools.

If you miss this deadline, please email info@vistahockeyclub.org. However, registration cannot be guaranteed past this deadline.

You must have a renewed USA Hockey Number at the time of registration.

Fall 2026 CPHL TRYOUTS:

Wednesday, August 5 @ 7:30-8:30 Family Sports Center (Avs rink)

Thursday, August 6 @ 7:30-8:30 Family Sports Center (Avs rink)

Tryouts are open to all students enrolled at Mountain Vista, ThunderRidge, and Highlands Ranch High Schools in grades 9-12 for the 2026-27 school year. Students from other online or charter schools may be eligible to join the Vista Hockey Club if they reside in the feeder area.

Players must bring their own water bottles to tryouts; water will not be provided.

Tryout Details - TDB

Players are required on both days.

Non-Refundable Tryout Fee: $50

Varsity Season Fee: $2400

JV Season Fee: $2150

Processing fee of 2% is non-refundable

The $50 tryout fee and the registration fee (1st installment of the season fee) of $500 is due ON OR BEFORE August 1st. If fees are not received, player will not be able to tryout. If a player does not make a team, $500 will be refunded. The $50 tryout fee is non-refundable. 

• Registration, Tryout fee ($50) and registration fee ($500) must be completed by August 1st, 2025 at 5:00 PM.
• 2nd Installment on September 5, 2025: Varsity - $950 and JV - $825
• 3rd Installment on October 5, 2025: Varsity - $950 and JV - $825

Travel costs are not included in the season fees. Estimated travel fees $1000-1500. Will have exact number soon.

Uniformity in gear is crucial for both CPHL and CHSAA seasons.

Players are required to have the following items (will be used in both seasons):

- Vista Green Helmet (Bauer Re-Akt 155): $225

- Custom Vista Gloves: $140

- Player Team Gear Bag: $125

- Goalie Team Gear Bag: $135

If you already have these items, you are not required to purchase again. It is only for new orders or if your items need replaced due to condition, sizing etc.

Jerseys and breezer covers are provided to each player, BUT must be returned at the end of the season.

Your order and payment will be taken when you accept the offer to join the team.

Will be team travel this year. All travel costs for players are in addition to the season fees. Estimated travel fees $1000-1500. Will have exact number soon. Families are welcome to join, but would travel separately.

Each player must be registered with USA Hockey, and it is required in order to complete this registration.
